My Teaching Philosphy

Learning is Engineering is HARD and your Teacher shapes the entire experience for you

Engineering is not a career for me, it is a passion.

Engineering is the perfect medium through which to learn how to learn, and how to analyze complex situations.

These are useful skills that will help you navigate life in general.

Read below for some principles that guide my teaching style

01

Make things Real

The entire point of Engineering is to make things happen in real life

I will show you how the knowledge you are harnessing can be used

02

Truly Learn

Memorizing equations is boring

Engineering is not

I will teach you to truly understand what you are learning

03

No Big Words

I use words that everyone can understand.

Big words sound cool but DO NOT help you understand a new concept

04

Forget what you've Learned

Often times, I'll need you to wipe the slate clean so I can teach you the concept in the correct way.

We will "rebuild" the concept for you from the ground up, and afterwards, it will make complete sense.

05

Honesty

There's a lot of knowledge out there.

If I don't know something, I'll tell you I don't know.

I'm not here to try and "pretend" that I know everything.

06

Patience

If you just don't get it, tell me.

If you need me to repeat something, no problem.

Engineering is hard!
