My Teaching Philosphy

Learning is Engineering is HARD and your Teacher shapes the entire experience for you

Engineering is not a career for me, it is a passion.​

​​

Engineering is the perfect medium through which to learn how to learn, and how to analyze complex situations.

​

These are useful skills that will help you navigate life in general.

​​

Read below for some​ principles that guide my teaching style

Make things Real

The entire point of Engineering is to make things happen in real life

​

I will show you how the knowledge you are harnessing can be used

​​

Truly Learn

Memorizing equations is boring​

 

Engineering is not

​​​​​

I will teach you to truly understand what you are learning

No Big Words

I use words that everyone can understand.​​

​

Big words sound cool but DO NOT help you understand a new concept

Forget what you've Learned

Often times, I'll need you to wipe the slate clean so I can teach you the concept in the correct way.

​

​We will "rebuild" the concept for you from the ground up, and afterwards, it will make complete sense.

Honesty

There's a lot of knowledge out there.

​

If I don't know something, I'll tell you I don't know.

​

I'm not here to try and "pretend" that I know everything.

Patience

If you just don't get it, tell me.​

​

If you need me to repeat something, no problem.

​
